Smolnitza is a lovely village in Dobrich region. It is located in the North east part of Bulgaria some 10 km from the town of Dobrich, 55 km from the city of Varna and 45 km from the sea-coast. The infrastructure of the village is very well organized. There is regular transportation to the town of Dobrich and the nearby settlements, cable TV and Internet. The roads are in a very good condition. In the village there is a school, a kindergarten, a community center with a library, a post office, a mayor's office and a food shop. The village has its own water source. Near the village there is a dam-lake which attracts many fishing lovers from near and far. About 10 English and Danish families have purchased properties in the village and live there during the summer.
