We bought 2 houses through Bulgarian Properties several years ago in the Karlovo region. At that time the process was surprisingly painless and professional. Since then Karlovo office has been looking after day-to-day running of pretty much everything to do with the houses: tax returns, builders, furniture purchases etc, etc. We come to Bulgaria twice a year now with the children. I must say that Vanya from the Karlovo office is the loveliest person I've ever met. Perhaps first of all I should say that she is extremely professional, there is nothing too small or too big for her to arrange, she is always available, and we always had this feeling that Vanya is on our side! That aside, I really like Vanya, she is a genuine girl, very honest and straightforward. She should really be training some UK property agents on how to treat customers. I can sometimes be a bit of a pain the butt but Vanya always deals with that too! I bought my first property in the Veliko Turnovo area through Bulgarian Properties around 18 months ago and from the beginning I received excellent service from the company. Elena Dimova guided me through scores of houses and cottages in the area and we travelled hundreds of kilometers to find the types of properties I preferred. With Elena as liaison and translator and the knowledge and contacts of the local agents on the ground, I happily settled on a property within a few days. I am now the proud owner of three properties in the area and I would not have had the skills or confidence to do this without the thorough and essential knowledge of Elena and her colleagues at BP. Particularly Simeon Karapenchev for his in-depth understanding of the resources, habitat and people of the Tryavna and Elena regions and Zdravka for giving welcome friendly support and advice when negotiations got tricky. Bulgarian Properties is not the cheapest property agency in town but neither are they the most expensive by a long way. They offer value for money and with the invaluable assistance of Elena, Simeon & Zdravka and the great team at BP the tricky and involved process of buying my first Bulgarian property was made a transparent and straightforward procedure. I would happily use Bulgarian Properties with Elena and the team again.
