Three new malls in Sofia – more cinema theaters and an ice-skating rink
Amusement – this is what the new and the already existing malls in Sofia and the country are focusing on after the consumption of clothes, shoes and home goods decreased due to the crisis. For example, the new mall which is being built in the quarter of Lozenets is announced as a lifestyle mall. Apart from famous brand shops, restaurants, coffee shops, a bowling hall, an arcade, a gym, and a cinema there will also be skating rinks and adrenaline and active relaxation activities. The investors want to make a green project – energy efficient and in unison with nature. There will be water features inside, as well as green areas and natural light. The commercial areas will amount to 80,000 sq.m. making it the largest mall in Bulgaria.
The new mall which is being built on the Sofia Ring Road is also counting on amusement. It will have cinema theaters, a hypermarket, a DIY store. One of its main advantages will be its proximity to the IKEA store. The mall will have almost 72,000 sq.m. of commercial area.
The future center on Bulgaria Blvd. will have about 33,000 sq.m. of commercial areas. It will also have an office area. The concept is middle and high class brands to rent out the commercial areas, as there will also be cinema theaters and a hypermarket.
The existing malls are also focusing on amusement. For example, in one of the Sofia malls apart from the cinema halls there is also a Formula 1 and rally 3D simulator.
One of the other malls in Sofia offers its clients a 4D cinema and various attractions like bowling and a billiards hall. A new children’s corner also opened there not long ago and there is a pool where kids can walk on water in transparent plastic orbs.
The malls in the town of Stara Zagora also offer many attractions. One of them has arenas for laser battles, a climbing wall, and a kart racing course in the underground parking lot. Such a racing course is also planned in one of the large stores in Varna. They also have “walking on water”, paintball, a casino, dancing halls, etc.
