05.04.2011 Free Sofia Tours in English Start End of March

The tours will start every day from the Palace of Justice at 11 am and 6 pm.
The volunteers from the Free Sofia Tour Association will tell in English stories about the most significant cultural and historic sites in the central part of Sofia during the two-hour tour. The tourists will learn about traditional Bulgarian customs like the Martenitsa, Bulgarian dances, and Kukeri.
The volunteers will provide useful and practical information about the foreigners' stay in Bulgaria after the end of the tour.

A unique mosaic was discovered by archaeologists in the city of Stara Zagora in Bulgaria. The mosaic depicts the three figures of Bacchus and two bacchantes, all companions from the suite of God Dionysus. The mosaic is a unique finding for Bulgaria.
