“At this very moment, Sunny Beach outrivals Palma De Mallorca, due to its better and newer hotels. The material base was entirely renewed during the last 3 years, and each hotel meets the international standards.” - said Malina Stratieva – the boss of Sunny Beach Joint-Stock Company. According to her, the Bulgarian tourists who have spent their vacations at the world resorts during the last years are now coming back to Sunny Beach. This year, there is only one new hotel complex in the east part of Sunny Beach. However, it presents the future of tourism with its five-star hotel, apartments, contemporary mall, luxurious SPA center, restaurants, huge swimming pools, and 9000 square meters garden.

The local paradise for tourists from all around the world met summer 2007 with 164 thousand beds. 75% of them have already been occupied. 141 hotel complexes in the East zone, 5 thousand apartments and other 52 hotel complexes in the west part, as well as 45 thousand apartments are situated almost next to each other. There are 50 thousand apartments in the west zone. Most of them are of the so-called “studio” type. The price of one square meter varies from 650 to 2500 Euros.

In the beginning of the active season – July and August - 75% of the hotels are already occupied. 350 thousand tourists have occupied the region between Vlas and Ravda. More than 50 thousand people serve the thousands of guests. According to Angel Paleyski, Director of the seaside lane in Sunny Beach, the average salary in that branch amounts to approximately 700 leva.
