BULGARIAN PROPERTIES Price Indexes - March 2012

BULGARIAN PROPERTIES' indeces measure apartments listing prices in 4 main locations - Sofia, Varna, Sunny Beach and Bansko in order to provide timely information about the market trends in the biggest city and vacation housing markets in Bulgaria.

All our indexes have gravitated about the same levels over the past 6 months. This shows good signs of stabilization of the Bulgarian property prices.

Key points for each index for March 2012 are the following:

Sofia
• Change in last month: -0.07%
• Change in last 12 months: -11.09%
• Change from the highest value: -41.44%

The current BULGARIAN PROPERTIES index value for the listing prices of apartments in Sofia for March 2012 is 58.56 points. The average monthly listing price of the apartments in the capital is 875 Euro/sq.m. Deals are being completed at an average price of 735 Euro/sq.m. in the first quarter of 2012.

Varna
• Change in last month: +1.01%
• Change in last 12 months: -16.75%
• Change from the highest value: -42.29%

The current BULGARIAN PROPERTIES index value for the listing prices of apartments in Varna for March 2012 is 57.71 points. The average monthly listing price of the apartments in the second biggest city in Bulgaria is 860 Euro/sq.m. Deals are being completed at an average price of 800 Euro/sq.m. in the first quarter of 2012.

Sunny Beach
• Change in last month: -1.91%
• Change in last 12 months: -34.39%
• Change from the highest value: -49.72%

The current BULGARIAN PROPERTIES index value for the listing prices of apartments in Sunny Beach for March 2012 is 50.28 points. The average monthly listing price of the apartments in the biggest beach resort in Bulgaria is 665 Euro/sq.m. Deals are being completed at an average price of 440 Euro/sq.m. in the first quarter of 2012.

Bansko
• Change in last month: +9.95%
• Change in last 12 months: -29.05%
• Change from the highest value: -52.76%

The current BULGARIAN PROPERTIES index value for the listing prices of apartments in Bansko for March 2012 is 47.24 points. The average monthly listing price of the apartments in the biggest ski resort in Bulgaria is 605 Euro/sq.m. Deals are being completed at an average price of 465 Euro/sq.m. in the first quarter of 2012.

Bulgarian Property Market Booms: Housing Prices Up 156% Over 10 Years

In the third quarter of 2025, Bulgaria was among the EU countries experiencing the strongest growth in house prices, according to Eurostat data.
