Dryanovo is situated on the border between Veliko Turnovo and Gabrovo municipalities. Situated among the beautiful hills of the Central Balkan. The municipality is the continuation of Mikrenskite heights - lime rocky plateau guards cut through the fantastic gorge of the Yantra river and Dryanovo. The altitude varies from 180m. to 640 m. The highest point here is Balabana - over 620 m. altitude. Dryanovo is situated on the main thoroughfare Ruse - Veliko Tarnovo - Gabrovo – Shipka - Stara Zagora. The train station is the main rail artery linking the northern and southern Bulgaria. The city is located 20 km. from Gabrovo, 24 km. from Veliko Tarnovo, 17 km. from the Renaissance and carving center Tryavna and 30 km. away from Sevlievo and Gorna Oryahovica. Dryanovo municipality covers an area of 272 sq. km. and it is part of Gabrovo.
