BULGARIAN PROPERTIES for NOVA TV: The number of deals has jumped by 60% and the prices - by 15%

2021-10-09   |  BULGARIAN PROPERTIES

Our clients and our colleague from the Veliko Tarnovo office Simeon Karapenchev stood in front of the cameras of NOVA TV to comment on the boom in sales of rural properties in Bulgaria.

Official National Statistics data show that almost 100,000 people returned to live in rural areas last year, and data from BULGARIAN PROPERTIES show that prices of rural houses are rising and supply is declining. Simeon Karapenchev expects this trend to continue in the coming years.

'Compared to last year, prices have risen by between 10 and 15%,' says Simeon. 'We have concluded deals with rural houses from 3,000 euros to 200,000 euros and more. The most sought after houses are currently between 40,000 and 50,000 euros, and the supply is very limited,' he adds.

'If we are used to seeing only plows in the fields and grandmothers with canes, we will have to rethink our perception of the look of the Bulgarian village. And not be surprised by the young professionals sitting with laptops in the shades of their orchards', sums up Victoria Boyadzhieva, author of the report on NOVA TV.

From the Association of Bulgarian Villages think that this trend will continue after the pandemic subsides, with an average of about 50,000 - 70,000 people expected to return to the countryside annually changing their lifestyle.

If you are considering to become the owner of a house in a peaceful Bulgarian village, where you will be able to open a book in the garden under the trees, work and study from a distance and enjoy slower life close to nature, we have something for you!
