"Sofia is a preferred place for business and investments. The city has a credit rating equal to the credit ratig of the state. The capital is a place for major investments and there are many projects that have been implemented last year in the commercial and industrial sphere, office buildings and hotels. Sofia Municipality is also a serious investor as over BGN 745 million were paid to companies last year", said the mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova.

The capital of Bulgaria also received the prize "City With Best Cultural Life", because of the many cultural events that take place in Sofia daily.
