"BURGAS AND THE SEA" FESTIVAL BEGINS ON 4 AUGUST
The town of Burgas, as known as “the town of festivals”, will be the host of the national festival for pop songs “Burgas and the Sea” from 4 August. Every summer on the stage of the Summer Theatre in the Sea Garden some of the most cherished Bulgarian composers and singers along with many young talents perform their latest singles. “Burgas and the Sea” has been renowned as the fest popularizing many songs and being the threshold for the career of many talented performers.
The same theatre has for many years been the stage where the International Folklore Festival has been taking place, presenting folk dances and songs of peoples from all over the world. Beer Fest, Festival of the Bulgarian rock music, and the annual theatre festival “On the Shore”, as well as the traditional classical music festival, named after a famous Bulgarian conductor, are all organized and held in Burgas.
