Arbanassi is a unique village listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The village has five churches and two monasteries built in the late 16th and early 17th century. A great treasure of Bulgarian architectural - construction genius and Renaissance culture was collected in a small piece of land - Arbanasi. It rises above the picturesque Veliko Tarnovo, this area is characterized by its bright historical and social events from different eras. Natural resources of Arbanassi with clean air and healthy climate is a favorite resting place of bulgarian and foreign guests and tourists. By Royal Decree of 1921 the village was declared as a resort, and in 2000 it has received the status of a historical place of national importance.
