VIDEO SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM TO BE INSTALLED IN SUNNY BEACH
The installation of a video surveillance system in the Bulgarian resort of Slanchev Bryag will cost about BGN 600,000, Bulgarian Deputy Interior Minister Kamen Penkov told FOCUS News Agency. It is planned for security cameras to be installed at all control checkpoints of the resort, at crossroads and places where many road accidents occur or where traffic regulations are infringed upon. Penkov explained that the system of identification of vehicles’ licence plates and persons’ faces would be very useful.
There are plans for installing video surveillance systems in other coastal cities – Burgas, Varna and Nessebar, as well as in cities in the country. The major problem is related to financing, Kamen Penkov said.
