First Mall Opens in Bourgas
The first mall in the seaside city of Bourgas opened its doors on April 23rd. The 60-million-euro investment makes it one of the biggest investments in the Black Sea city. The owners are Cort Holding and Bridgecorp through the company Bourgas Plaza.
The mall is built on a plot of land of 52 decares (52,000 sq.m.). The two-storey building has over 90 shops, restaurants and coffee shops. Bourgas Plaza is the first mall in Bulgaria with an open-air parking lot on the rooftop of the Carrefour hypermarket.
Due to the slow property market at the moment the investors are not planning to sell the mall but to manage it. Almost 90% of the trade areas in the mall are already rented out as the expected annual rental income is 6 million euros.
