The Biggest Mall in Bulgaria Opens

2008-06-13   |  BULGARIAN PROPERTIES

The biggest mall in Bulgaria – Varna Mall – offers its clients and visitors a skating rink, 8 cinema halls with 1,300 seats, 150 shops. The built-up area is 70 000 sq.m. and the trading areas take up 33,000 sq.m.

The unique building was designed by the British company Chapman Taylor whose mark can be found in some of the biggest trading centers in Europe. The visitors at the Varna Mall will have at their disposal 880 parking spaces, 220 of which outside.

Mall Varna is the biggest in Bulgaria, at least for now. It offers a 3D cinema hall and Sega Games, restaurants, cafés and a huge supermarket. The Excalibur bowling hall with its 10 bowling alleys is also functioning. The children will be able to play in the 800-square-meter Capella Play amusement center. Here is the place where Burger King and NewYorker will first open in Bulgaria.

No compromise has been made with the quality of the materials, only the best on the international market has been chosen. The lifts are spacious, comfortable, quiet and the latest model on the market. The air conditioning system is state of the art and for the first time in Varna a building has been constructed with concrete class B 35 – the best possible. The base of the building makes it seismically stable. The constructors even claim that the slab will stand an earthquake with magnitude of 9 on the Richter scale.
There are also designated zones for the smokers. In almost all restaurants there are special zones for smokers, but not in the cinema halls, the shops and the children’s center. Another perk is that even if you go into the cinema hall with your GSM switched on it will never ring because the halls have special equipment that obstructs the signal.
