BULGARIAN CITIES ARE BEST FOR INVESTMENT
Property buyers looking for homes in Bulgaria should consider the country's large cities, advised the experts. Instead of looking to a tourist destination for a retirement home in the sun, investors should concentrate on Sofia or Varna, Les Calvert has said.
The Director of overseas property website Property-abroad.com, has suggested that investing in the two cities will guarantee year-round rental income, if buyers choose to rent the property out prior to moving.
\"Holiday seasons come and go but cities are where people live and work,\" he explained.
The expert also added that as well as "carefully" considering where to buy a retirement property in Bulgaria, homeowners should ensure they have consulted a legal professional.
Mr Calvert recently said that overseas investors are bringing a new lease of life to the EU country, with foreign nationals welcomed by locals with "open arms".
Bulgaria, alongside its neighbour Romania, became a member of the EU at the start of the year, causing experts to predict a boom in property interest.
