The town of Boboshevo is located in the western part of Bulgaria and is set in Kyustendil municipality. It is set near the towns of Kocherinovo and Rila, and is placed at the foot of Vlahina mountain. The town is set 60 km from the capital Sofia, 30 km from the town of Kyustendil and 17 km from the town of Blagoevgrad.

Here travellers can visit the medieval fortress "Gradishteto", the medieval church "St. Todor" and the monasteries "St. Dimitar" and "St. Ivan Rilski", as well as the church "St. Athanasius" and "St Elijah" from the late Middle Ages, plus the church "Virgin Mary", the architecture of which is reminiscent of Rila Monastery.
