Bansko is one of the largest winter resorts in the country combined with the impressive architectural and historical value of the town. It is located 150 km in a southerly direction from Sofia International Airport and 250 km, in a north-westerly direction from Macedonia International Airport in Thessaloniki, Greece. The resort attracts tourists with 65 km of snow-covered slopes during the ski season from December to April. The artificial snow facilities guarantee great skiing even in warm conditions.
