10.09.2008 Veliko Tarnovo expects 30 percent more tourists next year

Mr. Daniel Panov, head of the municipal tourism agency prognosticates 30% growth of the number of tourists in Veliko Tarnovo.

According to him the old town part should have a checkpoint, to restrict the access of automobiles and to form a walking zone.

Open air scenes will be constructed in Veliko Tarnovo during the next season, added Mr. Panov. Concert programs and historical plays will be performed on the scenes. Scenes are also planned to be constructed on “Samodivska charshiya” in front of the Tsarevets fortress.
