16.09.2008 British Companies to Build Trade Center in Haskovo

British companies are to build a trade center in the Bulgarian town of Haskovo. The consultants on the project will be British. This is what the Deputy President of the Leicestershire Chamber of Commerce John Townsend said during a meeting organized by the Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He is in Haskovo together with a delegation from the English town.

Though there are no business representatives in the delegation the first important contacts are already a fact. Companies from Svilengrad and Haskovo are to set foot on our markets soon, Mr. Townsend said.

The two Chambers have a collaboration agreement signed three years ago.
We will send a business delegation to Leicester by the end of the year, Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Yancho Yanchev said. Meanwhile, Leicester businessmen will visit Haskovo for the traditional wine festivities organized by the Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The purpose of the meeting held yesterday was to present to the Englishmen the economic potential of the Haskovo region.
