23.06.2010 Two Beaches in Sunny Beach Resort with Blue Flag Eco Award

At present the management of the resort is trying to include all dunes and sand formations into the protected territory list. This will allow the protection of the rare flora growing there. Also, the construction of bicycle alleys will help the development of green tourism.
This year two of the beaches in Sunny Beach applied for receiving the Blue Flag eco award and won. Now the beaches Sunny Beach – north and Sunny Beach – south are considered to be two of the best strips along the Black Sea coast. The Blue Flag prize is a guarantee for cleanliness of the area and the beach, as well as of the waters. It is also a prerequisite for developing ecotourism in the area.
