Aqua park Planned to Be Built Near Sofia
At its meeting on January 14th 2010 the Sofia Municipality Council approved a detailed structure plan for the construction of an aqua park near the village of Chepintsi, a few kilometers from Sofia.
The Chief Architect of Sofia Petar Dikov explained that the facilities will be located on a municipal plot of land of 220 decares, to the south of the village, near the Lesnovska River.
"This is a quality project and there is keen investor interest towards it but the Municipality will announce a competition to choose an executor”, said Petar Dikov. According to him the construction of the aqua park will cost about 100 million euro.
The aqua park will include outdoor and indoor swimming pools, water slides, water sports facilities, tennis courts and possibly an amusement park.
