04.06.2007 FERRY LINE TO CONNECT VARNA AND THE CAUCASUS

Sofia and Moscow have agreed to open a ferry line between the Bulgarian sea of port of Varna and the Black Sea Caucasian ports. The next stage in the co-operation will be a route for the transportation of containerised cargo connecting Varna with the Caucasus, as the online English edition of Dnevnik Daily reported. The agreement is in line with Bulgaria's priority plans for the development of intermodal transportation. The government intends to build intermodal terminals in Sofia, Ruse, Burgas, Varna and Plovdiv.

China Invests in Agricultural Land in Bulgaria

The Chinese state company Tianjin Agribusiness Company made its first investment in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Ministry of Agriculture informed today.
