01.06.2004 New golf playground in the town of Sliven

On Monday, the Mayor of Sliven Mr. Yordan Lechkov (and former player at the National Football Team) opened the second golf playground in Bulgaria. The sports center is owned by “Air Sofia” Company, which already runs the first similar playground near the town of Ihtiman.

The Company purchased the land at the end of July 2003. According to unofficial data, the investments made are up to 1.5-2 million BGN. The construction of the golf playground, which has a total area of 500 decares, was completed for nine months. The Complex offers a series of 18 holes, standard scratch score – 71, training golf playground and green for practicing the strokes. The Sports center is equipped with a modern automatic system for watering the whole playground.

Unique mosaic discovered in Stara Zagora

A unique mosaic was discovered by archaeologists in the city of Stara Zagora in Bulgaria.
