Located in western Bulgaria, the town of Kocherinovo is part of Kyustendil Municipality and is placed near the town of Blagoevgrad (8 km). Kocherinovo is located 90 km from the capital Sofia and just 2 km from the European route E79, being near the road to the Rila Monastery. Near Kocherinovo passes Rila River, which then flows into the Struma River. In the town operate a pastry shop, a sewing room and a briquette factory. The annual fair of the town is taking place on 21st September.
