Emona village is situated 2km away from cape Emine, just a few kilometers to the south of the town of Obzor. According to the legends, Emona village is the birthplace of the Thracian king Rez who participated in the Thracian war. Emine cape and Emona village are situated some 20min drive from Sunny Beach resort (only 8km away), at a distance of 80km south of Varna and 55km north of Bourgas. The remains of a Bulgarian medieval fortress are still visible in Emona. There is also a light house and remains of a monastery.
