Bulgaria Air to launch flights from Dublin

CheapFlights.co.uk, April 2006

The increase in flights to Eastern Europe continues apace as Bulgaria Air announced it would launch two routes from Dublin.

Flights from Dublin to Bulgaria's capital, Sofia, will kick off in April, The Sofia News Agency reports.

Then from the summer, Bulgaria's flag-carrier will launch a service between the Irish capital and Bulgaria's Black Sea Airports.

Bulgaria Air had previously announced it will also begin flying from London Gatwick to Bourgas on the Black Sea Coast from May.

Budget airlines are queuing up to serve Bulgaria as the country prepares for EU entry.

Low-cost airline Wizz Air announced last month that it will begin operating direct flights from Luton to Sofia and Bourgas from May 1.

Bulgaria Air has a thirty per cent share of its home market, operating flights to 19 destinations across Europe.
