Investors are about to pour over 200 million Euros in Plovdiv!

The famous contractor Dimitar Bekriev amazed the Municipal commission with a project for the huge mall ,surrounded by a hoop of residential buildings, on the roof of which will be built a swimming pool, buried in greenery.The project was presented together with the offer for buying 32 decares of land in the “Trakia” district. The vacant plot of land is with crucial location – on the main entrance to the district and facing “Osvobojdenie”Blvd. Behind it you can see the Aquapark, which was built from another local businessman – Angel Kukov, owner of the company “SOS BG”Ltd.
“Plovdiv Mall” will be constructed after the town parliament approves the offer of Bekriev. His company “Regnis”ltd. has appeared to be the only competitor and it seems there will be no obstacles for this contract to happen.
The size of the complex is tremendous. The mall will be one two stories with 30 decares area. Three blocks are designed to be with 3500 apartments and are on 14, 15 and 20 floors. The highest building is on 22 floors and there will be a hotel with 440 beds, in the lower one – 16 floor, there will be offices. The project is unique because on the roof of the trade center with 30 public places the architects have placed a pool and a green terrace. There is no such location. In the settlement will be opened 10 cinema halls, and in the garden in front of the mall – a mini golf course spread over the area of 9 decares.
For the visitors are planned 1200 parking lots.”Plovdiv Mall” will cost minimum 60 million Euros and might be built for 3.5 – 4 years, claims eng. Dimitar Bekriev. According to the contest’s regulations the term-bound is up to 5 years. The associates in “Regnis” plan to attract for the construction of the complex foreign investors. Two years ago the businessman Yazov participated in a contest of the municipality and purchased a 16 decares plot of land next to Bratskata Mogila. Recently the Expert council for the structure of the territory (ESST) approved the preliminary design of “Rilon”Ltd. The partners of eng. Yazov are businessmen from Israel.
Up to one month will be presented and the work design of another project the bound-term for its completition is 08.March.2008 .
The mega complex will be on three floors and will cover the area of 27 decares, with 12 cinema halls, a children entertainment center, a parking lot for 700 vehicles.
Another company from Sofia “ Alexandra Group Holding” wants to build a similar complex with 12-15 modern cinema halls. The preferred location is next to “Technopolis” on “Sankt Peterburg”Blvd. In the city under the hills there will be also an “Arena Cinema” complex , if on the 21 of September the municipal council decides to open another contest with minimum investment 25 million leva.
Along with all of these again in Trakia district, next to the Spanish houses, the vacant plot of land spread over 32 decares was assigned to the Plovdiv company “Gerbera”. According to the conditions of the MC the investor will have to built a multifunctional complex that consists of seven buildings, a new town hall of “Trakia” district and resident houses for the municipality.
There was great interest towards this plot, which shows that the building field is active.
Another settlement will arise on another plot with the total area of 60 decares. The price of the property is 16 427 350 leva and the investor will have to build and the infrastructure as well.
