We have just returned from spending 1 month in Bulgaria. Not the best time of year to go, admittedly, but we still managed to have a wonderful time. We would like to give heartfelt thanks to everyone at Vidin office - the lovely Nick ( office manager )who even helped us sort out problems we had with our other home near Sofia - MILES AWAY!Thank you to Desi for patiently answering many e-mails & preparing beds & bedding etc for our stay. As for Valentin - what can I say. He is without doubt, the most helpful,polite and friendly young man I have ever met. He fitted 2 wood-burning stoves in our bedrooms & thanks to him we arrived at a lovely warm house. When our electricity suddenly went off at almost 10 o'clock at night, he came straight over to mend the fuse for us & he emphatically refused payment for his trouble. We must not forget also the kindness of Stefan who escorted us to the bus station & ordered our tickets for us. These are just a few of the many acts of kindness & generosity shown to us during our stay - there are far too many to mention. We are returning soon to Bulgaria & cannot wait to meet up with our new friends from the Vidin office.Lastly,but not leastly, a huge THANK YOU to George for the superb renovations to our house in Vidin & for taking on the building work on our house near Sofia.Look forward to seeing everyone soon.
