Located in the northern part of the country, the village of Slavyani is part of Lovech Municipality. The village was founded after the merging of the two nearby villages, namely Sotevo and Zalkovo. The merging of the two villages became a fact after the birth of King Simeon II, as the village had been named after him. In the next years the village was renamed Slavyani. The village has a population of about 700 people who have access to several grocery stores and a cafe, as well as regular transport to the town of Lovech.
