Chepelare is a resort that occupies a small valley at the heart of the Rodoppi Mountain. The resort is 222 kilometers away from Sofia and just 72 kilometers south of Plovdiv.
The pleasant transitional climate strongly influenced by the Aegean sea, the century-old spruce, pine and fir forests, the well developed infrastructure, recreation and entertainment facilities make Chepelare an attractive winter and summer resort. The town has the cleanest air and the highest number of sunny days in the country but despite all that sunshine, enough precipitation fall to provide the area with plenty of snow.
