The village of Gorun is situated in Northeastern Bulgaria and is part of Shabla District in Dobrich Municipality. Through the territory of Gorun runs a deep ravine, which is part of the Dry River in Dobrudja area. This site is quickly filled with water during the heavy rains seasons, thus forming a river which flows into Lake Shabla. Near the village there is a beautiful oak forest and the village name comes from a species of oak that is growing here. The population is about 100 people who have access to food shops, cafes and regular transport.
