The village of Drenov is located in Northern Bulgaria and is part of Lovech Municipality. It is located in a hilly area in a river valley and is placed 24 km from the town of Lovech. It is believed that the village was founded in the 18th century by shepherds, and in the vicinity could be found numerous stone buildings, as well as ancient coins from Roman times. Today the village features a small church, several shops and a cafe. Not far from here is the dense forest Shumata.
