Dubovik is a nice village, located in the northeastern part of Bulgaria, in General Toshevo District and Dobrich Municipality, placed within 18 km from the town of Dobrich. The village is known as the birthplace of the poetess Dora Gabe, and there is a community center named after her with a memorial exhibition with personal photographs and belongings, as well as with a monument. Every two years in the village of Dubovik is being organized a Contest for Young Poets, and every year in May is held a competition for young folk songs singers. In September here is being held a gathering of Bulgarians from Northern Dobrudja.
