Bulgarians filling the property market gap left by foreigners
2014 has been the best year for the local real estate market since the start of the crisis, according to consultancy company Bulgarian Properties. They saw a rising number of sales last year and hope the uptrend would continue into 2015.
Besides, in 2014, home prices bounced back for the first time since 2008, underpinned by better mortgage terms. Experts from Bulgarian Properties say the local market will be dominated by Bulgarians buying into segments previously considered commonplace for foreigners. Purchases in 2015 will be concentrated in big cities, seaside and ski resorts.
The consultancy company outlined another interesting trend – a rising number of buyers are entering the market with the sole intention to invest in real estates.
