In northern Bulgaria in Rousse Municipality is situated the village of Buzovets, which is surrounded by forests. The village is situated about 50 km from the beautiful city of Ruse, in the valley of Baniski Lom river. According to different sources, originally the village was about 6 km away from its current location and this area is now known as Old Buzovets. The village has a school which is currently closed due to lack of pupils.
Near the village of Buzovets, at a distance of 25 km are to be found Ivanovo rock churches and approximately 17 km away is located the medieval fortress Cherven. The traditional annual fair of the village is held on May 24th.
