Batovo Village is located in northeastern Bulgaria and is part of Dobrich municipality. After the Russian-Turkish war, the village was settled with refugees who came from Strandja and in particular from the village Krushevo in the Rupite area and the village of Tower next to it.
Then the village was inhabited by Circassians, who later emigrated, and Tartars who got Turkish self-consciousness. The village subsequently acquired a typical Strandja appearance, and is the only village which is outside Strandja Mountain with atmosphere typical for Rupite. In the periods between 1913 - 1916 and 1919 - 1940, Batovo village was under Romanian rule. The current village got its name in year 1942.
