I am a buyer from the UK and was looking for an apartment in Bansko primarily for winter sports. I had been looking at properties in Bansko on and off for around 6 months and speaking with different Bulgarian property agencies to get an understanding of the property market.

I contacted Bulgarian Properties while visiting Bansko and viewing properties with other agencies. Bulgarian Properties managed to fit me in for viewings the next day. In the end I was torn between purchasing a property with Bulgarian properties or another agency. On paper, both properties were on a par, but in the end I chose the property with Bulgarian Properties for the following reasons:

1. They agent really did listen and took the time to understand my needs, I felt like the apartments I was shown met my requirements rather than simply being shown apartments the agent wanted to 'shift quick'.

2. I felt the agent I dealt with (Andy Peach) provided impartial advice and support, and was very knowledgeable about Bansko, the property market in Bansko and Bulgaria as a whole (I did even try to catch him out a few times - and failed!).

3. The agent was always very professional, whilst also having the ability to build rapport. He was always contactable to answer any questions I had and had a good understanding of the mechanics of purchasing a property in Bulgaria.

4. Offered support probably over and above what was required (e.g. helping to arrange currency exchange, picking up and dropping off from airport, introductions to other property buyers in Bulgaria).

Having an knowledgeable, reliable and trust worthy agent and property agency is paramount to any property acquisition, and I would not hesitate to both use or recommend Bulgarian Properties.
