Bansko prepares for ski season 2011
The Mayor of Bansko Mr. Alexander Kravarov shared his optimism for the forthcoming winter season. By the end of the month the Balkan committee of the mountain towns on the Balkan Peninsula will announce Bansko as the "Winter Capital of the Balkans". The decision was already taken.
This is a great honour and responsibility for Bansko, to offer impeccable service during three of the starts for the World Cup Competition. The competition will be broadcast life by 14 televisions, 16 national televisions will broadcast on record. Eurosport will broadcast 2 days directly from Bansko.
At the moment the lift equipment is being prepared for the new season. The high-speed quad will be substituted with a six-pack and the drag lifts will become detachable. These improvements will improve the traffic of skiers on Banderishka Polyana.
