04.02.2010 Karandila Area near Town of Sliven to Have Its Own Ski Slope

This is a wonderful place for tourism but nothing has been done there to turn it into such an area. Hopes are high that after the change of the area’s status projects are going to be presented which will attract European Fund money and Karandila will turn into a wonderful place for relaxation and entertainment.
The lift in the Karandila area must be modernized which will create good conditions for the development of winter tourism from which will benefit not only Sliven residents but the whole of Northern Bulgaria.
Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has committed himself to helping solve the problem. He also promised to give the municipality the former airport set south of Sliven, the mineral baths and the fruit, vegetable and flower market.
