Italians Invest 80 Mln Euro in Ahtopol Marina

2009-02-05   |  www.bszone.info, 3.02.2009

The Italian company De Ferrari is ready to invest 80 million Euro in the construction of a marina in the southern Black Sea resort of Ahtopol. This is what Daniele Indaco – the company’s executive director and representative of a group of Italian investors announced.

According to him the talks on the Yachtopolis project for the construction of the marina are in a very advanced stage and it is a matter of months a team to start drafting a project that will extend to the whole area.

The Italian developers visited the town of Ahtopol led by the Ambassador of Italy to Bulgaria Stefano Benazzo. The Italian delegation was met by the Mayor Petko Arnaudov, the Chair of the Municipal Council, the Deputy Mayors and representatives of the municipality administration. Mr. Arnaudov shared the municipality’s plans to realize two big projects – the first one being the construction of two ports in Tsarevo – one for yachts and passenger ships and a fishing boat harbor and the second one being the construction of a marina and berths in Ahtopol.

The Mayor underscored that the interests of the local fishermen will be protected.

“I wanted to come personally and see how matters stand and how your country will manage this challenge. I think the idea of working together is really good as we have immense experience,” the Ambassador said during the meeting in Tsarevo.
