100 Mln. Euro Casino to Be Built Next to Sofia Airport
A large gambling complex is to be constructed close to Sofia Airport. Its construction will probably start in a few months, the Chairman of the Bulgarian-Russian Investment Forum Boyan Mihaylov announced. According to him the project will be worth 100-120 million Euro.
The interest towards the project is quite big having in mind the fact that starting from July 1st gambling was banned in Russia and all the casinos were closed, the result being that the interest of the locals is now focused on the possibilities of gambling tourism. Bulgaria will probably not be the most attractive destination for the super rich Russians looking for luxury, as Monte Carlo is the more suitable destination for them. But Bulgaria could attract the middle-class players. There is even an idea to organize groups of Russians to come and play in this casino, Mr. Mihaylov explained.
The investors expect clients of the new complex to be all those who like gambling, even those only enjoying a stopover at Sofia Airport.
