Bansko Tradition Holidays 2009
For three decades now, each year for about a week in May the beautiful Bulgarian town of Bansko attracts tourists and visitors with its Bansko Tradition Holidays. The celebrations also precede the beginning of the summer season.
During the holidays one can visit ethnographic and culinary exhibitions, art exhibitions, evenings dedicated to the Bansko humor, to songs, people, customs and traditions. This is also the time to visit the Made in Bansko furniture exhibition which shows the traditions and the modern trends in furniture-making and wood-carving.
This year the Bansko Traditional Holidays will be held from May 17 - May 25 as there will also be an evening dedicated to notable persons of the Bulgarian national revival period, concerts of amateur groups, Bansko national costumes fashion review, local cuisine exhibition, art exhibitions, competitions for best hotel, street, summer garden, and a Flower Feast.
