21.02.2005 FOREIGNERS ABLE TO ACQUIRE BULGARIAN LAND

Bulgarian Properties Ltd. are happy to announce that Bulgaria, a country that is looking forward to its admission to the European Union in 2007, has lifted the veto that prevents foreigners from buying land. On Friday, the MPs from all political parties voted for the amendments in Bulgaria's constitution in connection with the land sales, bringing it into compliance with the EU legislation. Foreigners who are not permanent residents of Bulgaria, will be able to purchase land after a seven-year transition period.
