SKYSCRAPER CONSTRUCTION STARTS IN BULGARIA’S BOURGAS IN OCTOBER
The construction of a skyscraper in Bulgaria’s coastal city of Bourgas will start in October 2007, Bourgas beach concessionaire company representative Vaklin Stoinovski said.
Stoinovski took part in a forum on the problems of skyscraper construction held in London, Darik Radio reported.
Thracian Highrise Estates, the company under Stoinovski’s management, together with the Bulgarian American Credit Bank will own a third of the skyscraper.
The skyscraper will be set up at the location of former restaurant Vodenitsata, 100m away from the beach.
Project planning began in 2004 and the construction of the building is expected to end by 2010.
The skyscraper’s height will be 54.50m. It will function as a hotel for congress tourism. An art gallery, sea museum, theatre hall, spa centre, luxurious boutiques and a restaurant are some of the additional facilities.
Regional Development and Public Works Ministry and the Transport Minister already gave their approval for the project.
The total value of the project is expected to reach 50 million euro.
