Lighthouse Golf Resort near Balchik Opens
Luxury Lighthouse Golf Resort near Bulgarian Black Sea town of Balchik opened officially its doors last Saturday. Up to now about 50 million euro have been invested in Lighthouse Golf Resort as the total investment sum is 70 million euro, Lighthouse Golf Resort executive director Georgi Chuklev said at the press conference. The designer of the golf course is world-famous golfer Ian Woosnam who will visit Balchik in May next year for the official opening of the holiday development.
Currently 600 houses are being built and almost 350 are already sold. The buyers are from various nationalities as half of them are foreigners. The developers’ idea is the complex to resemble a small settlement whose residents can live there all year round.
Besides a golf course the development will have five residential areas with apartments, detached houses and rows of houses, as well as luxury villas. Marina and Lighthouse districts are set on the rocks above the sea and the Green, Lake and Forest districts are encompassed by the golf course. The residents of the complex will be able to use part of the services offered by the hotel which will have commercial areas, bars and restaurants, a SPA and wellness center, a tennis court, and swimming pools. The five-star hotel will have 180 rooms.
The completion of Lighthouse Golf Resort & SPA is scheduled for 2009.
