This summer has seen Bulgaria return to the top 10 of best places to buy according to The Move Channel. This is good news for property hunters who want to take advantage of the affordable prices within the country. After several years of decline in the Bulgarian property market, the country has began to witness significant improvements this year.

Summer news

This has included an enormous amount of Russians buying along the Black sea coast, in particular in the Sunny Beach region. However the ski resorts, in particular Bansko, have witnessed further price reductions from fewer sales. The latest figures reported by market analysts of Bulgarian Properties have reported that real estate prices have dropped by 50% to those of 2008 prices in Bansko.

Winter Season

The news on price reductions for apartments within the ski resorts is optimistic as the summer season on the coast draws to a close; those considering purchasing property will take advantage of the incredibly low prices that are on offer within the ski resorts.

Apartment prices have been reduced considerably in these resorts and are now at some of the lowest prices since 2008. The popular ski regions of Bansko, Borovets and Pamporovo over the years have had incredible amounts of investment to modernise and bring them in line to rank amongst other ski resorts in Europe. These regions nevertheless are not just suitable for skiers and sports enthusiasts during the winter; the summer offers a wide diversity of outdoor pursuits alongside the breathtaking mountain scenery, lakes and wildlife to enjoy. Buyers contemplating investment in these regions have the added advantage of easy access from all year round flights from two of the countries main airports Sofia and Plovdiv.

Anticipation awaits Bulgaria in the hope that the winter season is as successful as the summer was on the coast for both tourists and investors looking for a bargain buy.
