In the last few years the interest towards rural homes increased because many people look for tranquility, clean air and escape from the monotonous everyday life in the big city. Besides many Bulgarians a lot of foreigners already bought such properties around the country due to the very lucrative prices.

The rural properties are set not only in typical Bulgarian villages, but also in areas close to the cities or in holiday home areas where the atmosphere very much resembles that of a Bulgarian village.

One can find rural houses for sale in all areas around the country as prices are formed depending on the location, the area, the age of the property, the furniture, the infrastructure, etc.

Almost all rural houses have a yard whose area starts from 500 sq.m. and reaches up to 4,000-5,000 sq.m.

The most expensive rural homes are located in the holiday home areas along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast as well as close to the big cities and mountain resorts.

Here are some offers for rural houses from the real estate agency Bulgarian Properties.

Houses with an area between 100 and 300 sq.m. set close to the second biggest city in Bulgaria – Plovdiv are sold between 7,000 and 140,000 Euro. In the last few years a lot of people working in Plovdiv prefer to live in the nearby villages.

Rural houses close to the town of Vidin, southwestern Bulgaria, can be bought for as low as 2,000 Euros as prices of newer houses can reach up to 200,000 Euro. Most of them have stylish and modern furnishing and are easily accessed.

Prices of properties located in the region around Varna are one of the highest in the country. One of the most expensive properties costs 3,500,000 Euro as it consists of three separate buildings (including one for the security guards) and its total built-up area is 1,600 sq.m.

Almost all houses are set in close proximity to or just a few kilometers away from the sea as some of them have swimming pools.

Houses close to Sofia vary quite a lot in terms of price depending on their proximity to the city, their state and living area. Prices start from around 15,000 Euro and reach up to 400,000 Euro. Most houses are renovated and some have luxury furnishing and appliances.

Such properties are sold between 10,000 to 100,000,000 Euro as most of them are set in mountain villages and the more expensive ones offer all the necessary amenities tourists would need.
