28,000 Euro for a One-Bedroom Flat in Bansko with Security and Parking

Veto Newspaper, Greece

The last few months have seen many sales for Mr Dimitrios Tourikis, Director of the Bulgarian Properties Hellas office. As it seems, Bulgarian property offers are promoting transnational real estate investment as a new business, which is maturing in Greece. More and more Greeks, scared of the financial crisis, are investing their savings in emerging markets such as neighboring resort of Bansko.

‘Since the summer we have been selling about two properties a month. The starting price is from 699 Euro per square meter. We can find apartments of 45 sq. meter from 28,000 Euro in the organized complex Belmont Club, and in Belvedere Holiday Club from 38,000 Euro’, says Mr Tourikis.

Furthermore, these complexes are not just ordinary blocks of flats but super modern units with 24/7 security, car parking spaces, comforts such as spa, restaurants and bars.
According to Mr Tourikis, the purchase and later on the rental out of an apartment in Bansko is a great opportunity for a long term investment.

Mr. Tourikis goes on to say, ‘The Greeks are buying in Bulgaria because the prices are almost 50% lower than Greece. The clients are mostly middle-class public clerks who want to place their money in property, and they are looking for a safe investment. We have to emphasize also that after Bulgaria’s accession to the EU the tourist and building activity there is skyrocketing.’
