Kosharitsa is situated at the foot of the Eastern Balkan Mountain Range and is surrounded by a forest, which makes it a preferred destination for the Bulgarian elite circles. Cholakova cheshma is the most popular spot at the moment - the villa zone of Kosharitsa.

Apart from the luxury villas owned by Bulgarians, the village is also famous for the foreign interest it attracts. Among the bigger projects in Kosharitsa is the construction of a golf course in Kalinata.

Besides its new found fame as a holiday destination, Kosharitsa is a romantic place notorious for its stories of buried treasures. The local population is about 1,030, but during the summer, it swells to twice that.
