Second Bridge Over Danube Must Be Ready Till 2009

Deadline for building of second bridge over Danube river at Vidin-Kalafat is 2009, Bulgarian Transport Minister Petar Moutafchiev stated today at Transport Ministry priorities forum, FOCUS News Agency reporter informs.
The project is included in the priority list of Stability Pact for Southeast Europe and is supported by European Commission through PHARE and ISPA programs. EUR 226 million will be invested in the project.
Alienation procedures of bridge site have already finished. Alienation procedures of sites for the bridge infrastructure will be finished by middle of 2006, Minister Moutafchiev said. He added the technical project for adjoining road and railway infrastructure is finished and has been approved by national expert council at Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works.
